A final close up of those dovetails........

The observant amongst you will have spotted that the chest has strunk in height during this project......that's the reason the dovetails no longer fall neatly between the lipping and the plinth as planned.....

Also note the hinging, this allows lid to pivot away so the lipping doesn't foul the carrcass.
